Located on a sloping 18 acre lot in the oak studded 20,000 acre Santa Lucia Preserve, this new home appears as a compound of smaller buildings, attached to a prominent, central form.

Four platforms extend parallel to site contours in a nearly linear, floor plan. Long walls of stone and plaster link indoor and outdoor rooms and anchor the compound to the site.
